- Then Antinuclear Antibody test is a titer test used as part of the Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) evaluation in patients with appropriate history, clinical signs, and other laboratory findings. Positive ANA titers are most commonly seen in pets with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. However, positive results can be seen sometimes in pets with other auto-immune disorders (e.g., Rheumatoid arthritis), inflammatory/ infectious disease, or neoplasia. Many medications are also known to cause positive ANA results.
