Dr. Lavun Rachel Franko attended Iowa State University for her undergraduate and Veterinary Medicine studies. She graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1993 and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1997. She applied and was accepted to the anatomic pathology residency program at Purdue University where she completed her Masters of Science in Veterinary Anatomic Pathology in 2000. Later the same year, she passed the pathology board examination and became a Diplomate of ACVP. In the spring of 2001, she joined the anatomic pathology group at Antech Diagnostics and migrated to the Southwest.
Dr. Franko's special interests include surgical and oncologic pathology.
Dr. Franko is a native of Iowa. In her free time she enjoys hiking, jogging, yoga, and spending time with her husband, son, and their two dogs Emily (a Lab-Boxer mix) and Jack (“the Pug”).
