Phil earned his veterinary degree from The University of Montreal. He then completed a residency in anatomic pathology at the University of California, Davis training at both the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital and the Comparative Pathology Laboratory.
Phil is a member of the ACVP, VCS-OPWG and SCOP. He has a particular interest in ocular pathology and oncologic pathology. He has published over 35 peer-reviewed scientific manuscripts, and is the author of the chapter “The Eye” in the pathology reference textbook “Pathologic Basis of Veterinary Disease. Phil is Chair of of Antech’s Oncology-Pathology Advisory Panel and is Clinical Associate Professor at Western University of Health Sciences. He serves as Lead Pathology Faculty for the William Magrane Basic Science Course in Veterinary Comparative Ophthalmology.
