Biovet is pleased to announce that it now offers improved Fecal culture.
Actually, Shigella culture is now added to the Campylobacter jejuni/coli/lari, Clostridium perfringens and Salmonella spp. cultures that are already included in this profile. In addition, when isolating salmonella or shigella, an antibiogram will be automatically performed.
This profile replaces previous fecal culture tests with or without susceptibility testing.
SAMPLE TO SUBMIT: minimum 2 grams of feces in a sterile container.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT use SAF-type containers and make sure feces does not come into contact with litter as this will affect the sensitivity of the tests.
TRANSMITTING RESULTS: Test results will be available within 3 to 10 days and these tests are performed daily.
For LogiVet/VetWare users, the analysis codes to use are: DCAN-20211 (canine), DFEL-20204 (feline) and DNAC-20025 (Other small mammals).
